I remember those exiting days when we were doing pierogi, while mama sculpted them i was playing with dough. I always want to share with my kids those moments and fill their lives with warm family memories.

Yes you will have a messy kitchen after that and quit armagedon situation, but those eyes full of happiness worth every second of cleaning.

Best Vareniki (pierogi) dough

Equipment

  • kitchen aid mixer

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 cup all propose baking flower
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • This recipe for basic Ukrainian pierogi dough is a simple combination of flour, eggs, water, oil and salt. You might need to add a little more water or a little more flour based on the humidity of the day, the weight of the flour, etc. The dough should not be crumbly, nor should it be sticky. It will take only 10 -15 minute to prepare.
  • place in the mixer or in the bowl 4 eggs, 1/2 of water ,1 tbsp of olive oil, mix everything together
  • add flour 1 cup in a time and mix it knead it
  • place under plastic wrap for a 30 min to rest and become soft
